Consortium wins funding for super-efficient boat

A consortium formed by Optima Electric Yachts CEO David Kendall, on the south coast of England, will work on an ‘Ultra-Efficient Electric Boat’ with funding from the 4th round of the Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC-4), which is funded by the Department of Transport.

The boat is a progression of Optima yachts to be used as a passenger ferry with 10 to 12 passengers.
