Diverse delivers under its finance and lease programme
Diverse Marine has successfully launched Stock Build 2, the Iceni Revolt, a cutting-edge Typhoon Class Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) as part of its Finance & Lease Programme for Turner Iceni Ltd.
Designed with future alternative fuels in mind, the Iceni Revolt is equipped with Zero Emissions (Power Management) class notation, significantly reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
“We’re proud to introduce the Iceni Revolt to our growing fleet of CTVs,” said a spokesperson from Turner Iceni Ltd.
“This vessel marks a significant step forward in sustainable operations, meeting the needs of both today and tomorrow with its hybrid capabilities and potential for future alternative fuel installations.”
Tailor-made
Developed using 20 years of expertise in vessel build, the Typhoon Class CTV is tailored for offshore windfarm operations and maintenance (O&M) projects.
Designed in collaboration with Walker Marine Design, it’s a more compact version of the Storm Class created to maximise service speed and reduce fuel consumption.
Extensive Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis has been conducted to refine the hull design, resulting in an 11% reduction in resistance at transition speed and a 21% reduction at service speed, further lowering fuel consumption.
The vessel also features transom foils to minimise resistance, enhance performance and improve comfort for crew members and technicians during transit.
Iceni Revolt is the fourth in 2024 to be delivered under Diverse Marine’s Finance and Lease Programme, which it launched last year.
Prior to the Iceni Revolt, UK-based NR Marine Services boosted its fleet with another newbuild under the programme from Diverse Marine that was launched and displayed at Seawork in June.
NR Alpha was added to the its fleet shortly after sister crew transfer vessel NR Predator.
