WATCH: Berthon pushes the boat out at Seawork

Berthon Boat Company is sending a pair of Gemini RIBs to Speed, which falls on June 9, and a third to Seawork alongside them on June 10-12. All have been built and customised for their respective owners.

Making its Speed debut is the Gemini 880 T-Top RIB in an all-black stealth finish, measuring 8.80m x 2.95m and powered by twin Yamaha F250 NSB outboards. With its deep V-hull and commercial-grade Hypalon tubes, Berthon says it ensures a smooth ride in challenging conditions and it’s protected from the elements with its T-Top shelter.

As well as offering delegates sea trials at Speed, the 880 will then make its way to the pontoons at Seawork on June 10-12, where visitors can experience live demonstrations. Head to marina berths VA32, VA33 and VA34.

The second Gemini at Speed is Berthon’s latest in-house built RIB, the 1060 Cabin RIB, measuring 10.60m x 3.25m and powered by twin Yamaha F350 outboards. It will also be following up at Seawork, at the same berths.

Finally at Seawork you can also find Berthon’s Gemini 650 RIB, which provides an ideal solution for commercial operations that require agility and versatility in a compact size, Berthon says.

“This is part of a fleet of eight 650s that we built last year for the Army,” said Sales Executive James Myatt. “The 650 coming to Seawork is one of three built for the 73 Squadron at Marchwood, with the other five located at other bases around the country.”

The vessels will be used by the Army for training, Berthon says.

Powered by twin Mercury F80 ELPT outboards, the 650 offers smooth handling and fuel efficiency, ‘making it a practical choice for quick response missions and smaller vessel operations’.
