AIS technology innovator Saab TransponderTech AB andVTMS solutions provider Navieelektro ky have reached co-operative agreement to promote their products for the VTMS and Coastal Surveillance Systems market.
The two companies will offer VTMS and Coastal Surveillance Systems for maritime administrations and port authorities worldwide.
The agreement builds on a long history of co-operation in AIS system technology which produced the first system fusing AIS and radar tracks.
The VTMS systems will be marketed under the Saab brand name. The less well-known Navielektro ky is a privately owned Finnish company which has designed and delivered one of the largest and most sophisticated VTMS and Coastal Surveillance Systems in the world for the Finnish Maritime Administration.
