Oil Spill Sorbents Storage Advice
The new Oil Storage regulations make it very clear that storage facilities need to be essentially safe and that operators and owners of storage should take appropriate precautions to prevent spills.
They should also have emergency procedures in place to handle any spills that occur accidentally.
The regulations specifically mention the need for on-site sorbents to be available to cover these contingencies.
