PODCAST: Seawork’s Silver Anniversary
In June this year, Seawork will be an even more special event than ever as it marks its silver anniversary. Maritime Journal editor Debbie Mason talks to Fay Reeve, whose team spends months preparing for it and who is still, after 15 years in the role, as excited as ever to be part of running Europe’s largest on-water commercial marine expo.
More than 12,000 square metres of exhibition space… hundreds of metres of pontoons with vessels on show… in-depth conferences with specialist speakers presenting the latest in what they’re doing… the 25th Seawork is not to be missed.
Fay talks to Maritime Journal editor Debbie Mason about the preparations, the highs, the stresses, the cardboard regatta and everything else that goes into organising the show.
Join us at the Mayflower Park in Southampton on June 11-13, where more than 60 countries will be represented at the largest on-water commercial marine and workboat exhibition in Europe.
And on the 10th, nip over to the Isle of Wight for speed@Seawork, where in the fifth edition, international fast vessels take delegates on the water to show the latest vessels in security, intervention and search and rescue. This year hosted by the Royal Ocean Racing Club, it’s held in partnership with the Society of Marine Industries.
