The Wales based emergency response and training company DV Howells , a subsidiary of Milford Haven Port Authority, haspurchased Aberdeen based Ceto Environmental Ltd , which had gone into receivership earlier this year. The purchase brings DV Howells extra capacity and expertise in its core markets of oil and chemical emergency response services, consultancy services for pollution prevention and training.
Lyme Boats hold the exclusive rights to build and sell the GRP built Powerglide 30, which will be available in two versions.
The acquisition saves 16 jobs and adds two operational bases at Falmouth and Huddersfield to DV Howells' existing presence in Milford Haven, Belfast, Stanstead, Gatwick and Chesterfield. A relatively recent start-up, Ceto had established a presence in the market with the chemical response teams at its UK bases and a specialist tank cleaning operation.
