More than £ 3,500 was raised before Christmas for the UK’ s Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) by Newcastle based marine rigging specialists Storrar Marine.
A professional tour of the Port of CapeTown takes place on the afternoon session of Wednesday 15 May, followed by a free social evening. A Sponsored Theme Dinner takes place on the Tuesday evening and the traditional Congress Dinner will take place on Thursday evening.Pains Wessex donated six grab bags for the fund raising event as well as contributing the first prize in the raffle, a safety package worth more than £1,000. After costs, the event raised £3,768.23 for the Tynemouth and Cullercoats branches of the lifeboat charity.
