seawork Sees Launch of New Oil Filters
Fleetwood UK based Antech Hydraulics will launch their new RMF series of filters from Stand 528 at seawork2003 . The By-Pass and Off-Line filters as well as a renewed Air Conditioner line are characterised by extremely efficient filter elements with a filter fineness of 0.5 micron.
When used in combination with the RMF Air Conditioner, silt, larger solid particle contamination, contaminated air and harmful moisture are all removed from the oil system.
Main flow filters are incapable of removing silt particles of less than 2 micron from oil, even when applied as a fine filter.
Chemical contamination from silt and sludge forming shortens the oil’s useful life, resulting in more component wear, higher maintenance costs and extended downtime.
Oil contamination is generally held responsible for 80% of all mechanical malfunctions.
Antech’s By-Pass and Off-Line filters attack contamination directly. Easily applied to both new and existing installations, their efficient cellulose filter elements remove solid particle contamination and also extract any water from the oil to eliminate the catalytic effect of water and dirt. These filters can be applied to every imaginable hydraulic installation as well as marine engine, sump and storage applications.
Whereas standard filters extract a certain amount of contamination particles from air but let water vapour pass through, RMF Air Conditioners contain Z-R granules which dry the air at the entrance to the tank. A 3 micron glass fibre element then cleans the dried air.
When the unit is saturated, the Z-R gel indicates this by changing colour. The Z-R gel is entirely replaceable, non-toxic, and meets all required environmental norms and conditions.
RMF Air Conditioners are applied to hydraulic or lubrication systems on hydraulic power units, gearboxes and diesel storage tanks.
