Concrete Repairs Limited has been appointed by Dyer & Butler for the extensive refurbishment of the grade II listed Cleveland Bridge, located in the World Heritage Site of Bath, UK.
The bridge which carries around 17,000 vehicles a day is an essential network link allowing traffic to travel on the A36 over the River Avon, connecting Bath and the South West.
After years of survey and monitoring, the bridge has recently been limited to an 18-tonne weight restriction.
The works are scheduled over a 17-week duration, involve detailed condition surveys, working closely with the project engineers, followed by extensive structural concrete repairs, installation of galvanic cathodic protection anodes, application of anti-carbonation coatings and carbon fibre reinforced polymer plate strengthening.
