Sir Jack Slater brings great experience to his new role as Chairman of the RNLI.

The UK''s Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has named former First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Sir Jock Slater as its new Chairman. Sir Jock has been appointed following the retirement of Peter Nicholson CBE, who has served as Chairman since July 2000.
