Swathe Services offers LiDAR capability

Utilising Hawkeye II, featuring a maximum swathe of 330m and said to be the world’s only rentable LiDAR system, the company will enable survey organisations and customers intent on extending their capabilities to carry out their own surveys under short term rental without incurring massive capital investment in their own equipment. Bathymetric surveying of this type, it says, will be much more flexible and cost effective. Typical production rates that can be realised are of the order of 50 to 100 square km based on two flights or sorties per day. Rental packages include all mission planning and data processing software in addition to sourcing of suitable aircraft.

Supplentary support facilities include provision of experienced LiDAR project managers and hydrographic surveyors, flight navigators, system operators, aviation consultants and a range of ancillary survey personnel. Operating staff are drawn from those with extensive experience in management of projects completed around the world, including Australia, the Indian Ocean, the US, France and Italy.
