Third MC-Class vessel handed over to Bigroll
Cosco Dalian Shipyard has delivered a third MC-Class Module Carrier, the BigRoll Baffin, to owners BigRoll Shipping.
The first two MC-Class Module Carriers, BigRoll Barentsz and BigRoll Bering had been previously handed over to the company earlier this year.
Both vessels have already executed several challenging voyages and were said to have performed to expectations, demonstrating good service speeds and vessel motions.
The Finnish Swedish 1A Ice Class MC-Class vessels are designed for the marine transportation of major modules and equipment for large energy projects both on and offshore. They are built to deliver in the most remote and inaccessible areas on the planet.
Delivery of the last vessel in this series of four, the BigRoll Beaufort, is expected in March 2017.
