TMQ at Seawork
The Australian owned manufacturer and distributor of marine-based electronic products, TMQ Electronics, unveiled a wide a range of new equipment, autopilots and accessories at Seawork International this year.
A TMQ spokesperson told Maritime Journal: “it was a good opportunity for TMQ to continue relationships with our dealer network, in particular Tecmarine who had a range of TMQ Autopilots on display at their stand, as well as touch base with aligned manufacturers to discuss joint projects.”
TMQ’s versatile talkback/public address system for mid to large craft, Decktalk, has been redesigned to provide even more features, including a new VOIP intercom system. In addition, its control interface has been upgraded to ensure readability in all conditions, day or night.
Aware of the restricted bridge space available to operators, TMQ has developed the new Nethub106, a networking option to connect sounder, autopilot, AIS data and more via a standard or Wi-Fi connection to the vessel PCs. This in effect means no more serial ports with a single cable requirement making the unit an excellent space saver.
Meanwhile, TMQ has launched an expansive sea floor mapping tool with versions suited to a range of applications, called TMQ C-PLOT. C-PLOT 3D allows mapping of the sea floor in real time, saving navigators time and fuel, providing live data for locating key fishing areas.
TMQ C-PLOT 3D is available as a free trial on the AMI-TMQ website (www.ami-tmq.com/cplot3d.html) After the time limited access concludes, updating to the full version is quick and easy.
