Transas Pops Over to Cork
Marine information technology specialist Transas has moved its international headquarters from Portsmouth UK to Cork in Ireland, citing the advantage of being located within the Euro zone and Irelands beneficial development conditions for IT businesses as factors behind the move. The existing Transas office in Portsmouth will host the growing Transas UK team, which requires more space to meet increasing customer demand.
Winning the Institution of Civil Engineers Award for Best Civil Engineering Student of 2003 was Oliver Latham of Plymouth University for his study of wave impact forces on steep fronted coastal structures.
