Tide comes in for Louis Dreyfus Armateurs

Following an international tender, Siemens Gamesa awarded LD Tide the contract to operate a high-performance, 24-passenger CTV to safely transport maintenance technicians to the offshore site.

“We are expanding our presence in the French maritime industrial sector dedicated to offshore wind.”

Strategic build

The vessel build is being undertaken by Strategic Marine, the Singapore-based specialist in offshore wind support vessels.

This new CTV is part of LD Tide’s fleet expansion strategy, following a previous contract for the Fécamp Offshore Wind Farm, where the operator’s CTV Acti’vent has been in operation since October 2023.

The StratCat 27 model prioritises safety, performance and crew comfort, providing a robust platform for offshore operations.

Manned by a French crew and sailing under the French flag, the CTV will support the 488 MW offshore windfarm, which will generate 1,900 GWh annually, enough to power 800,000 households.

With France’s offshore wind sector growing rapidly, this latest contract highlights LD Tide’s role in advancing maritime logistics for the renewable energy industry.
