Tailored for supporting offshore wind farm construction, operation, and maintenance, Norwind Helm exemplifies advanced vessel build capabilities.

“We are very pleased to take delivery of Norwind Helm ahead of schedule,” said Svein Leon Aure, CEO of Norwind Offshore.

“This completion concludes the construction program we started three years ago, solidifying our position as a serious player in the offshore wind market. The vessel will enter service immediately, supporting one of the major wind turbine suppliers. We are excited to see it in action.”

Versatile design

The 85-metre long Norwind Helm features a versatile VARD 4 19 design, incorporating battery solutions for hybrid operations, a height-adjustable 3D motion-compensated gangway and advanced safety and operational systems.

It accommodates 87 personnel, providing comfort and efficiency for offshore renewables projects.

VARD CEO Cathrine Kristiseter Marti said that the collaboration between the two companies is a truly a Norwegian delivery, supported by local suppliers and the Northwest maritime cluster.

”Norwind Helm reflects the innovation and craftsmanship of VARD, and we are proud to deliver another world-class vessel to Norwind Offshore,” she said.

The hull was constructed in VARD’s Romanian shipyard and completed in Norway, two weeks ahead of schedule.
