See winches for windfarm boats at Seawork
Seawork exhibitor Hercules Hydraulics has opened a new depot on the UK East Coast to provide hydraulics services, particularly to the blossoming wind farm support vessel sector based in that area.
Established in 2004 by a small team of people with a great deal of experience in the hydraulics industry, Hercules Hydraulics has grown to become one of the leading suppliers of hydraulic products and systems in the marine industry.
The new depot is located in Great Yarmouth and will trade under the banner of Hercules Hydraulics East Coast and will be the base for a team of hydraulic engineers.
“We have enjoyed a great deal of success in two markets that have a strong associations with the East Coast, namely offshore wind farms and the inland waterways of the Norfolk Broads, said Steve Radford, managing director at Hercules Hydraulics, “and so it makes a lot of sense for us to have local representation.”
As well as designing, installing and maintaining complete hydraulic systems, Hercules Hydraulics have also developed a range of marine hydraulic products with many of them being specifically developed for one or other of these markets, such as their lightweight aluminium DNV Type Approved anchor winches, which have been particularly well received by the workboat sector.
The company will, once again, be exhibiting at Seawork where, in addition to being able to announce the launch of their East Coast depot, it will be displaying two brand new hydraulic products, a hydraulic drive leg and an integrated lightweight aluminium bow thruster.
