EMMA Links With Klima
European Marine and Machinery Agencies has been appointed UK distributor for Dutch heat exchanger manufacturer Klima Thermo-Tech B.V. Klima is providing the air to air cooling systems for the azimuth propulsion pods fitted to the new liner Queen Mary 2. Klima also provides the cooling systems that are an essential component of wind turbine generators.
Vagverket Farjerederiet has recently put its most modern car ferry into service. The Venus is 86.2m LOA, displaces 840 tonnes and has a total load capacity of 340 tonnes. Built in Finland by Uudenkaupungin Tyovene OY, it will operate between Ljustero and Ostana in Stockholm. ‘We want to be leaders in the environmental field, said the ferry company’s technical director Mikael von Zweigbergk.
