The future looks good for historic shipyard Harland & Wolff, the builder of the fated RMS Titanic, which, as CEO John Wood told a seminar, ’was all right when it left our yard’.

“It’s a shipbuilding and fabrication paradise at the moment,” he says. “I’ve never seen a time in this industry for more than 25 years that’s been this buoyant and with so many opportunities. With the excitement around the new technology it’s a phenomenal place to be.”
