Floating dock on track to becoming Baltic Sea’s biggest

Floating docks at Wulkan Shipyard

One of the largest floating docks in the Baltic Sea is being built at Poland’s Wulkan Shipyard, where two sections have now been launched by Norwegian offshore services company BOA.

The first two dock sections, each measuring 82 metres by 47 metres, were launched using BOA’s semi-submersible barge Boabarge 36, which has dimensions of 124 metres by 31.5 metres by 8 metres and has a 3,600m2 deck.
