Second Maasdelta section sunk at Rotterdam

A 2024 opening should still be on track for the Maasdelta Tunnel at Rotterdam, despite delays to the immersion of the second section earlier this year.

The tunnel, also known as the Blankenburg Connection, will include a network of road junctions each side connecting to the existing motorway and ring road network, bringing relief to increasing levels of road traffic including freight as the port expands
