The eighth Maritime Industry event will take place on Thursday 30 March in Rotterdam, with over 125 directors attending the conference.

It is the annual network event for senior executives from the maritime cluster and will include a guided-tour of the AIDAprima and international leaders sharing their views on smartships, cruise shipping and future maritime concepts.

Th event will cover the unpredictability and insecurities determine shipping’s daily activities. With ships getting smarter all the time, the amount of information is growing. Experts will tackle the question: 'With all this big data and what is the impact of digitalisation on the sector?’

Speakers for Maritime Industry 2017 include Dave Vander Heyde, CEO Royal IHC, Alcuin de Weert, fleet director at Anthony Veder, Jan Gabriel, head of construction and conversion at DEME and Oskar Levander, vice president innovation, engineering and technology for marine at Rolls-Royce.

As well as Tom Strang of Carnival Corporation, Jon Jackson, product director at Caterpillar Marine and Patrick van Eerten from Royal Boskalis Westminster.
