Cosalt Safety & Protection Appointed Jason’s Cradle Distributor

Under the new contract, Cosalt will be the sole UK distributor for sales and servicing, sales enquiries and deliveries relating to Jasons Cradle and its derivatives including the Jasons Cradle Stretcher for davit systems, Jasons Cradle Scramble Nets, Jasons Cradle Fast Rescue Craft (FRC) kits and all sizes of Jasons Cradle.

Cosalt has also put into place servicing arrangements for the Jasons Cradle range. Work will be carried out through the Cosalt branch network making it easier for owners and operators to meet their statutory obligations with respect to the SOLAS approved equipment.

Additionally, Cosalt has worked with fire authorities to develop a new design of Crewsaver lifejacket specifically designed for fire service use. The requirement for a purpose made flotation device arose following the experience of several Brigades during serious floods.

A key benefit of the new Harvester FBL design is the combination of the inherent buoyancy of a 50N Soft Foam Buoyancy Aid with the additional security of a full specification CO2 operated 150N Lifejacket.

In doing so, some buoyancy protection is provided all the time while in emergencies it is supplemented by activating the lifejacket, which is fully approved to EN396 and available in manual or automatic inflation options. Security features include a 50mm waist belt plus a quick release waist harness, thigh straps and a lifting becket. There is extensive use of SOLAS approved retro-reflective tape and a whistle is provided to attract attention when in the water.
