Distributed in the UK by Loki Dynamics, this solid little engine is engineered for superior performance with a vertical shaft design, a mono-block 500cc single cylinder, direct cooling and electric start.

The D14 is a rarity in diesel outboards due to its small size, offering good power and exceptional torque, which allows it to handle heavy loads at low RPM with ease.

Despite its robust performance, the D14 has a modest fuel consumption, making it ideal for extended operations, the manufacturers say. With performance claimed to be on par with a 25HP gasoline outboard, the D14 redefines efficiency on the water.

The 75kg D14 is specifically designed with commercial applications in mind, for demanding environments such as the oil and gas industry, aquaculture and protected areas. The manufacturer says its robust construction ensures reliability in potentially hazardous settings and its simplicity means minimal maintenance requirements, providing a cost-effective operation that saves time and resources.

Consuming just four litres an hour at full load, the D14 reduces the number of fuelling stops required and simplifies fuel management by using diesel exclusively. This is particularly convenient where the D14 powered boat is used in the service of larger diesel driven vessels, due to the single fuel required.

Diesel fuel’s lower flammability minimises fire risk, and the D14’s explosion-proof design eliminates the need to store fuel on board.

The D14 offers lower fuel consumption and costs, maximizing working hours and reducing the cost per operating hour.
