CEDA Dredging Days 2015

The CEDA Dredging Days conference and exhibition returns to the Ahoy Rotterdam on 5-6 November 2015 in conjunction with Europort 2015.

The primary international dredging conference in the CEDA region, Dredging Days is an invaluable forum for leading researchers and industry experts to discuss and share dredging challenges, solutions and experiences.

The 2015 conference will focus on innovative dredging solutions for ports, presenting the latest technical and scientific developments. In addition, CEDA Dredging Days 2015 will cover best practice relating to maintenance and capital dredging in ports and access channels and the management of sediments, including the sediment balance of the broader port environment.

All papers presented at CEDA Dredging Days are peer reviewed and published in the conference proceedings. They can also be accessed through the CEDA Digital Library free of charge for CEDA members.

To complement the conference, a technical exhibition will be located in the area adjacent to the technical session room. The central location of the exhibition area will provide organisations with an excellent opportunity to present their products and services to a select and focused group of international experts and decision makers. The exhibition will be open throughout the conference.

The customary Dredging Days technical visit will take place the day before the conference begins, on Wednesday 4 November 2015 from 12:00 to 17:00. This year’s technical visit is hosted by Room for the River programme of the Rijkswaterstaat, which is part of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment responsible for the design, construction, management and maintenance of the main infrastructure facilities in the Netherlands.

The Room for the River programme deals with flood protection, restoring Dutch rivers’ natural flood plains in places where it is least harmful in order to protect areas that need to be defended. The visit will be to one of the Room for the River project sites in the vicinity of Rotterdam
