Damen Dredging Equipment will fit Trimble positioning products in vessels such as their standard range of cutter suction dredgers. The range of dredging equipment Damen supplies is thus expanded with an option that promises to maximize the productivity and enhance the profitability of their dredgers.The OEM agreement enables Damen Dredging Equipment to use all Trimble positioning products on all their dredgers and also makes combinations with the Navguard Excavator survey system possible. The equipment can be fitted on both newbuilds and existing dredgers.

Damen Dredging Equipment already offers a complete range of dredging instrumentation and automation which the Trimble positioning products extend.

Trimble Europe is a subsidiary of the American Trimble company, specialists in advanced positioning solutions. The Trimble systems Damen will fit inclue those for SPS satellite receivers for accurate RTK positioning. These have a maximum vertical accuracy of 1 cm and a horizontal accuracy of 7 cm.
