French acquisition
Rohr International Dredge Holdings, Inc. has acquired Eurl Rohr France, including its current backlog, inventory and all associated intellectual property (IPR). Rohr France, which is based in Betting, France, was a Rohr licensee and will continue at the same location, operating as a subsidiary of Rohr Bagger GmbH, a subsidiary of Rohr International Dredge Holdings, Inc.
Rohr France has been a Rohr distributor and service centre for over 10 years for its land based and floating bucket ladder dredges, clamshell dredges and conveyors to the mining industry in France. Rohr-Idreco’s Managing Director, Heiko U. Osterchrist, told Maritime Journal “Having Rohr France fully integrated into the Rohr-Idreco/EDE group will help continue to increase our footprint in the European marketplace.”
Rohr International Dredge Holdings, Inc. is a subsidiary of Ellicott Dredge Enterprises. Ellicott claims to be the world leader in the portable dredge design and manufacturing industry having built over 3,000 dredges in the last century and a quarter for clients in over 100 countries.
Ellicott built all of the dredges used in the original construction of the Panama Canal.
