The ECO 200 will be used for connecting some of the islands and deepening the sea entrance between them. Due to currents and erosion, the coast of the islands changes over time, making it necessary to conduct periodical maintenance to keep the shape of the islands and maintain a desirable beach. In some areas the beaches are flooded by new types of soft sand that make it difficult for tourists to enjoy them. In other areas dredging is necessary to maintain water depth for both yachts and commercial workboats.

The ECO 200 dredger is equipped with a heavy duty cutter head and an underwater dredge pump for high performance and the pumping of a high density sand mixture. High performance reduces the time required to undertake maintenance dredging works. For ease of mobilisation the dredger is equipped with dual hydraulic propulsion.

The ECO 200 cutter suction dredger can pump up to 1,500m and dredge to depths of 6m. With a draft of only 0.7m it is extremely useful for dredging in small and shallow waters which are difficult for larger dredgers to access. The multi-purpose dredger is delivered completely assembled and is launched by a mobile crane.
