Shipkits to build a trailer for Boskalis

Shipkits’ scope of works includes building the complete hull at its yard in Stettin, Poland. This will include the superstructure and funnel, all based upon Centraalstaal steel kits. The hull will be outfitted by Shipkits to a ‘plug and play’ level with regard to piping systems.

Shipkits will also install special dredging equipment for rainbowing and bottom doors discharge, overflow pipes, the suction pipe and its swell compensation system, winches and gantries. Dredge piping between pump room and hopper are also included. The installation of this equipment will be undertaken in close cooperation with D.W. Den Herder Maritiem BV.

This vessel, the second in what could become a series of three, is expected in the second quarter of next year.
