OEG reaps benefits of offshore wind boom

The farm is one of Scotland’s biggest developments in the North Sea around 15 kilometres offshore. The site will cover an area of 150km².

Up to 72 wind turbines will generate a total 1.1GW, which is estimated could meet the power needs of more than half of Scotland’s households.

OEG will supply an integrated package of topside and marine services such as marine coordination, high voltage and ancillary port services. They will be managed from the companmy’s new facility in Edinburgh, which has 24/7 monitoring operations.

OEG will also operate up tp 10 vessels, seven guard vessels for on-location crew safety and three CTVs. It will also provide metocean sensors and navigation buoys.
