Ashtead Technology moves

UK based equipment rental specialist Ashtead Technology, which also maintains supply facilities in Houston and Singapore, has moved to new global headquarters in Westhill, Aberdeen.

The move is part of a £750,000 investment programme doubling its capacity. The new facilities include a warehouse, maintenance workshops and a specialised calibration laboratory.

According to chief executive Allan Pirie, the new base will be a focal point for further expansion of activities, with additional recruitment of specialist personnel planned for next year. Offering what is claimed to be one of the world’s largest stocks of subsea equipment for the offshore industry, the company maintains over 16,000 items covering positioning and survey systems, ROV sensors and tooling, hydrographic, goephysical, inspection, repair and maintenance and diving equipment.
