CARIS-EIVA offshore survey partnership
Hydrographic software specialists CARIS of Canada and EIVA of Denmark have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering joint provision of integrated and streamlined solutions to offshore survey organisations.
Anticipated project applications include acquisition and processing of survey data through to managing and manipulating information in enterprise GIS environments.
Planned solutions cover EIVA’s NaviPac survey acquisition software supported by CARIS’s widely adopted HIPS and SIPS data processing software. Processed bathymetry from both sets of modules will be available for further manipulation, including pipeline inspection work using EIVA’s NaviModel 3D application. It is also capable of utilising CARIS’s BathyDataBase for data storage and retrieval while enabling delivery of digital datasets using standard geospatial formats. As a result of the agreement, seamless workflows without data conversions in any desired order via a choice of individual modules will be possible.
CARIS and EIVA are to hold an introductory workshop at this year’s Ocean Business event in Southampton. As attendance is limited, pre-registration is recommended at ce.workshop@caris.com.
