Fugro Iraqi contract extended
Fugro, the Dutch survey combine, has been awarded a three-year contract extension by Basrah Gas Company (BGC) for continuing provision of topographic and geotechnical services as well as bathymetric surveys and metocean services in the Basrah province of Southern Iraq.
Since initiation of the contract in March 2014, Fugro has supplied geotechnical and topographical survey investigation services in support of engineering projects for onshore plant amenities, new pipelines and anticipated expansion of gas compression facilities. Sources provided include two geotechnical rigs and four permanent survey teams supplemented by additional ones as and when required.
