iSurvey expands
iSurvey, the 100 strong Norwegian survey and positioning organisation in Oslo, has invested £500,000 in establishing an offshore division in Aberdeen.
Andrew McMurtrie, its managing director, says the venture will support clients operating in the UK sector of the North Sea while also serving other global regions, including the Mediterranean and Africa.
The Scottish venture anticipates 30 specialist staff in place by the end of this year with an emphasis on providing support for rig positioning, marine construction, cable installation and seabed mapping. Founded ten years ago and with a secondary base in Singapore, iSurvey numbers ExxonMobil, Island Offshore, Maersk, Nexans and Statoil among its clients.
