Kongsberg Maritime in Norway has recorded its 100th order for deep water multibeam systems.

This is a scheduled delivery of an EM 122 model to the US Naval Oceanographic Office in November as part of an upgrade programme for the organisation’s survey class vessels.

Compared with earlier models, Kongsberg says the new 122 system provides up to four times better resolution in terms of sounding density and over twice the number of detections per swathe.
