Mystery Baltic Sea find

A team from Stockholm based Ocean Explorer headed by researcher and treasure hunter Peter Lindberg has found what some are suggesting is either a crashed flying saucer or a subsea version of Stonehenge.

While exploring the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Finland in June, the team’s sonar detected a mysterious seafloor image of a cylinder shaped, 190ft diameter object at a depth of approximately 275ft. At the time, Lindberg said, it was impossible to tell if it was man made or natural, or how long it had been there.

Lindberg and his Ocean Explorer team are due to revisit the site in mid-September. “We need to know just what we’ve found,” he said. “Besides its size and shape, there appears to be a ridged tail going to or from the cylinder shaped anomaly stretching about 1,600ft along the sea bottom.”
