NCS Survey buys SRD operations
NCS Survey of Aberdeen, specialists in surveying and subsea positioning to both the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors, has acquired the survey operations division of Sonar Research & Development in Beverley, Yorkshire from its parent organisation, Halma Plc.
Andy Gray, chief executive of NCS Survey, said the acquisition of SRD expertise together with its high specification multibeam sonars and 3D visualisation software will enable the Scottish company to provide an enhanced range of cost effective solutions to its growing client base.
Following the purchase earlier this year of two Icelandic AUVs, the 60 strong company has now invested over £2m this year in expanding its range of services.
