Offshore Survey 09
Organisers Intelligent Exhibitions say there is still time to register for their two day technical conference, being held as part of Ocean Business 2009, on 1 and 2 April at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton UK.
Opening with a keynote address by John Westwood on prospects for the global ocean industry business, proceedings will feature six individual sessions with at least 20 leading speakers from, among others, Acergy, Blom Aerofilms, C-Nav, DBM Geosurvey, DOF Subsea, Fugro Survey, Gems Survey, IxSea Offshore, Joint Nature Conservastion Committee, Kongsberg Maritime, Metoc, R2Sonic, Shell UK, Sonardyne, Subsea 7, Titan Environmental Surveys, Veripos and Visualsoft.
‘The impact of dramatic oil price swings on the global ocean industry business makes Offshore Survey 09 particularly timely, said conference chairman Alastair MacDonald of TMS International. ‘Over two days its programme will include presentations on market opportunities, latest technologies, essential techniques and reports on real world milestone projects.’
Presentations will focus on the essential sciences and data management critical to any offshore exploration or development project, from the first requirement of precise positioning to the acquisition and processing of geophysical data below the seabed, to collecting information on the quality and movement of the seawater at offshore sites and the interaction of oil and gas developments with wildlife habitats.
The fee for delegates is £320 plus VAT. Further details on the event, which is organised in association with TMS International and jointly supported by Hydro International and The Hydrographic Society UK, are available at www.offshoresurvey.co.uk .
