South west coastal monitoring surveys

It is part of the national network of strategic regional coast monitoring programmes framework agreement under the auspices of the Environmental Agency and others.

The five year agreement covers supply of monitoring data used for strategic studies, evidence based decisions, determining design conditions, intervention strategies and for checking compliance with environmental requirements.

Coastline Surveys, which has additional offices in Lowestoft, maintains its own 24m multi-purpose survey vessel, MV FlatHolm, in addition to a fleet of smaller craft. It recently carried major pre-dredging geotechnical surveys and studies in Portsmouth Harbour on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.
