UTEC opens Italian subsidiary

UTEC Survey, which claims to be one of the world’s largest independent offshore survey companies with offices in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Singapore and the UK, has established an Italian presence in Naples with the formation of UTEC Survey Mediterranean Srl.

The new company will enable UTEC to maintain a much stronger presence in both Mediterranean and West African regions, says CEO Martin O’Carroll, who adds that regional oil, gas and submarine telecommunications markets have been a priority in ongoing geographic expansion plans. Heading the Italian operation as general manager is Carlo Pinto, formerly with the neighbouring Naples turnkey survey organisation, GeoLab.
