Container ship with 4,000 luxury cars on fire

 The Portuguese Navy confirmed it had rescued 22 crew members from the burning 650ft Felicity Ace when it caught fire around 170 km southwest of the Azores, on its way to the United States.

Media reports said it was carrying up to 4,000 cars including Lamborghinis, Audis and Porsches, all owned by the car company Volkswagen.

“The Portuguese Navy’s NRO Setubal ocean patrol vessel remains on site to monitor the situation, with no traces of pollution in the area being visible so far,” the Portuguese Navy said.

There were no human casualties reported, although the fate of the cars is not known.
