MacArtney to open office in Sweden
Underwater supplier company MacArtney is to open an office in Sweden, where it already distributes its products.
Danish underwater technology supplier MaArtney will expand with a new office opening in Sweden this month, the company said.
The new office will open in Mölnlycke, near Gothenburg.
So far the Swedish market has been served by the company’s head office in Denmark, with Marine Survey acting as distributor in Sweden to create ’a sold base, branding the MacArtney portfoiio within underwater solutions such as underwater connectivity and data acquisition’, MacArtney said.
But while the market has been served well, the extnsive marine and offshore activities along Sweden’s coastline have prompted a firmer foothold in the country to better supporet not only renewable and defence activiites but also ocean science intiatives, which will involve industrial, academic and scientific institutions.
“The Swedish market has grown rapidly in the last couple of years, especially in terms of large-scale projects, resulting in a growing volume of orders for products such as our connectors, winches and underwater systems,” said Emil Andersson, who will lead sales efforts in Sweden, where he is from.
”The potential for spin-off business is enormous, and we are therefore scaling up our presence, opening an office staffed initially by myself and a sales administrator.”
