Briggs Environmental Services Expansion

Counter-pollution specialists Briggs Environmental Services have completed a major recruitment drive in a move aimed at adding fresh momentum to its ongoing global expansion plans.

Staff and guests enjoyed sailings from Portsmouth harbour into the Solent on board the Shtandardt, a replica of Peter the Great’s 1703 warship which, like Transas, has its origins and home base in St Petersburg, Russia. UK safety regulations no longer allow passengers on board such ships so all visitors were required to sign on as crew and receive training from the resident Russian sailors.

The company, which recently announced its intention to double its turnover within the next five years, made a number of key additions to staff at its Aberdeen-based UK headquarters and to overseas operations in the Middle East and the Caspian Sea area. It is also committed to opening a new facility in the North East of England.
