Cathelco and Jotun Join Forces

UK-based antifouling specialist Cathelco Ltd has acquired the cathodic protection business of Jotun A/S, creating what is claimed to be the worlds largest combined manufacturer of electrolytic antifouling systems for seawater pipework and hull corrosion protection equipment for the shipping industry. Cathelco have purchased the assets of Jotuns impressed current cathodic protection and pipework antifouling activities in return for Jotun owning a 10% share of Cathelco. With complementary products and two combined worldwide sales networks, the new Cathelco Jotun company anticipates a £ 7.5m turnover.
