Funding For Riverbus Service

The first financial package to secure the future of passenger transport services on London’ s River Thames was announced last month.

The new boathouse will be located to the east of the existing structure and will house a new Tamar class slipway lifeboat.

The Thames Clipper service, which operates a fleet of three high speed catamaran riverbuses running between Transport for London’s eight riverside piers, will receive a £3m subsidy from Transport for London over a 10 year period and £1m of private sector sponsorship from London First over the next five years.
