Lloyds Maritime Directory 2004
Just out in mid-May is the Lloyds Maritime Directory 2004, the latestedition of an annual publishing event which provides global maritime decisionmakers with a comprehensive directory vessel and 45,000 ship owners, managersand operators in Volume One plus, in Volume Two, a Shipping Services Directorylisting everything from towage and salvage operators through to maritimeassociations.
Additionally, the information contained in both volumes is also provided along with the Inmarsat Ship Directory on a single CD which is included in the package.
Both volumes have been updated for 2004, with 900 more vessels added to the Ship Owners/ Managers/Operators Directory and the Shipping Services Directory containing 2,300 more towage and salvage vessels plus 2,200 more ship building and ship repair contacts. For this year all sections have been organised geographically to make things easier to locate.
Also new for 2004 is a Global Maritime Section, providing a statistical snapshot of the maritime world which presents a global overview of the merchant fleet, comparing vessel ownership, movements, classification, type and casualties.
The content for this massive work is collected directly from ship owners by Lloyd’s Marine Intelligence Unit using it’s network of researchers and analysts, and with assistance from the major classification societies. Lloyd’s MIU also draws upon its unique alliance with the Lloyd’s Agency Network in the collection of its data.
