Marine Electronics Online
Having observed evident changes in the way products will be sold in the near future, Marine Electronic Services (MES) has established a new company, Raydirect, specialising in Raymarine products online. This is now live at www. raydirect. co. uk and follows six months of internal web development to produce a completely e-enabled business. With the entire back office (order processing, accounting, and shipping) interconnected, Raydirect exists in an automated warehouse environment integrated with the UPS shipping network.
Peterhead Harbour Trust, which has traditionally served the fishing industry since the late 19th century, and Peterhead Bay Authority, which has catered largely to the oil industry since 1983, will join forces on 1 January 2006 to create the Peterhead Port Authority, which will expand existing trades and have operational control of the whole harbour.
