Motion Damping for High Speed Craft

The MDI Motion Interceptor has been developed with stabilisation of high speed, weight sensitive craft from 15-50m specifically in mind.

The equipment is delivered as a complete package that can easily be installed or retrofitted on most monohulls and catamarans.

The package’s light weight, lower power pull and ease of both installation and operation make it a cost effective trim and motion control solution for many vessels not previously fitted with stabilisation.

Interceptors were first developed by Russian naval architects in the 1970s to control trim. MDI has extended the technology to both control trim and reduce motions from pitch and roll. MDI Interceptors on American vessels have now completed two years of successful service with pitch and roll reductions of as high as 70% recorded.
