Tidal Turbine Testing Surge in Scotland

Testing has begun of a prototype tidal energy turbine, the EXIM, which both its developers and local government bodies hope will establish Shetland at the forefront of renewable energy developments. Swedish owned Seapower Scotland and Lerwick company Delta Marine are carrying out tests over 10 sites in the Bluemull Sound, the stretch of water between the islands of Yell and Unst.
